National Schools Film Week is the biggest event of its kind in the World and in 2008 took 400,000 children to see 250 films at 2,000 screenings in 550 locations throughout the UK!
With culture and the environment high on the education agenda, more and more teachers are turning to film as the unique medium that can deliver complex information to a young audience in a meaningful and accessible way.
The focus of National Schools Film Week for 2009 will be Creativity and Diversity , themes relevant to both primary and secondary school children.
Again the programme will feature a range of current and forthcoming films to address topical and challenging issues shown from a variety of different perspectives.
